well this year i finally caught the snowboarding bug. up till now i really had not spent many days a year up in the snow and considered it something to do once or twice a year if i went at all… the money issue detracted from the thrill as well as the cold.

now i can’t stop thinking about the next time i strap on a board and carve some arcs down the mountain linking turns, going fakie and maybe a tiny ollie here or there. its cold? its worth it~thats what nips and a beer are for… caught in the snow storm? that couldnt make me happier… rain wreaking havok during the week? just more snow for me to ride on the weekend.

that tax return in spring is translating into some board gear and a season pass for next winter. in the meantime i dont mind scrimping and saving to make it to the mountain every weekend. if it makes me happy and leaves me tired, sore and bruised on monday i dont care. i’m having fun.
