The UnaMommer

by Jeremy on Feb.26, 2009, under e/n

It’s a word now. Please use it.

Unamommer: (you’nah’mom‘er): 1. a mother that shares the same traits as the Octomom; yet, has only one child. 2. A mother who suffers the same delusions and appetite for destruction as the Unabomber.

Ex. “Gosh, I wish someone would punch that unamommer in the face, who does she think she is?!”

I was hungry…

by Jeremy on Feb.24, 2009, under e/n, transportation

…so I hopped on my Xtracycle and made it down to the local warehouse store, to stock up on some foodstuffs. I had been putting a trip like this off until I had the Xtra ready. Even though I own a ULEV (ultra low emissions vehicle) and barely drive it at all I STILL feel guilty if I drive it anywhere. There’s always a nice layer of dust on it that I am very proud of, lol.

So I was being conservative in my shopping not wanting to get too much that it all wouldnt fit. I opted to purchase about 60% of what i could usually fit in the car. That lasts me about 1 1/2 months for food and everything. Knowing that I’d have to haul it home I was able to avoid any impulse buys.

Here’s the load:

BOOTY SHOT:

so i was impressed. It made the whole experience of shopping there better. It seemed easier to load the xtra than it is to load my car and unloading was a snap. I still have to iron out the whole homebase situation; but next time I’m going to be buying and hauling MUCH MORE.

here’s another shot of of the load on a conventional cart to give you a better idea:

on a side not i was devestated to find NO Laura Schudders Peanut Butter OR CLIF Bars. :(
