about: architecture

Architecture has been a significant focus in my entire life. I have a familial link with the construction trade as my grandfather, Benigno J. Nieto , was an highly recognized carpenter and licensed general contractor in my hometown of Long Beach, CA. I carry a strong work ethic and pay a high attention to fine detail.

I entered the profession of architecture as an intern under an Architect and Professional Qualifications Committee Member of the California Architectural Board in 1998. I am strongly skilled in both ‘old school’ hand drafting and the ‘new school’ of computer drafting. My goal is to satisfy the client, approval agencies and the surrounding communities with the same high level of ethics, design and safety I would require in my own environment and jurisdiction.

Since completing my BARC at Cal Poly Pomona in 2005 and getting my LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credential in 2006 I have worked under many other great architects in some very successful, international firms as a designer, and producer of all types of drawings. I learn by doing — Instrumentum Disciplinae — and have completed many projects, large and small. I am fully qualified to manage and facilitate a project’s creation, development, construction and final evaluation.
